KAPSEL – a humanoid formula encoded in resin and wood

KAPSEL is a conceptual fragrance by Arpa, built around memory, material, and transformation. Rooted in nature yet futuristic in expression, it evokes a resinous, earthy presence grounded in wood and light.

At the heart: powdery iris, anchored by vetiver root, patchouli, and the cool clarity of hinoki and cedarmoss. Top notes of pink pepper and petit grain ignite the composition with bright tension, before softening into a meditative trail.

Each bottle is encased in a sculptural glycerin capsule designed by Barnabé Fillion and artist Brian Thoreen, with glass blown by Jochen Holz. The tactile shell is not just packaging – it evolves over time and can be placed in a room to subtly perfume the air.

KAPSEL, the resinous substance of the sequence, highlights hinoki leaves, vetiver root, sandalwood and patchouli, all merging into the powdery facet of iris.
